Hi!  I’m Maria, and welcome to Mia Mangos!  I’m so happy to have you here!  I don’t think people can be clearly defined by only one label, which is why I cling to so many.  I am a lover of languages, full-time questioner, globe trotter, educator, city dweller, avid creator, obsessive pinner, aspiring writer, novice photographer, wife to my best friend, and I’m in search of all things beautiful and creative. I enjoy a simple aesthetic, so that is what you will find here.  I prefer coffee to tea, but I can always sip down an Oregon Chai (thanks, Rachael!) or green tea.  Most consider me an extrovert, but I do love those times when I can curl up by myself with a book, documentary, or blog.  Those silent moments are the ones where you find yourself and what you’re looking for in life.  My husband and I live a nomadic existence as we try to soak in all of what the world has to offer.  Come along; let’s be friends!

About the Blog

Since our lives are so multifaceted, I created this blog as a way to share the bits of life that mean so much.  This is a growing assortment of all things lifestyle.  Mia Mangos is a place where we can celebrate the little things that fill our lives on the daily basis.  Diana Vreeland once said, “The eye has to travel.”  That is exactly what Mia Mangos is all about.  Whether this means to physically travel to distant lands, to explore a city through new eyes, to experience a new culture through a coffee cup and a few bites, or simply to daydream, life’s all about letting the eye travel to new places and experiencing new things.  This is a place to feel inspired about experiencing life as it hits you every day.  Join me in creating a space that takes note of the little moments, the big moments, and all the moments that fall between.

See some similarities?  Tell me below, and let’s be friends!
